Ash Cave is the largest most recessed cave in the state! It is absolutely beautiful!
You will walk down this gorge, lined with beautiful trees and then it just opens up to this massive cave!
This horseshoe shaped cave measures 700 feet from end to end, and is 100 feet deep! A small tributary cascades over the rim into a plunge pool below. The day we were there was pretty dry so we just saw a trickle of water but it was still beautiful!
Did you know? Ash Cave got it's name from the huge pile of ashes found under the shelter left by early settlers!
