Zoo Scavenger Hunt

One of our favorite things to do is spend time at the local zoos. One thing I used to love to do with the kids is a scavenger hunt! This scavenger hunt is made for the Cleveland Zoo but hopefully most zoos have all these animals. Have fun!

Visit your local parks

A great way to get exercise is to hike in your local parks. This is one of our favorite things to do. Here are a couple ideas to motivate you and make it fun!
  1. Pick a park and do every trail in it. Find a park near you and make a goal to hit every trail there. Some you will be able to do in a day and some you will have to make several trips. This is a great way to get exercise and explore new areas. Tip: take a photo on your phone of the trail map to keep track of where you have gone.
  2. Pick an area and visit every park in that area. One year we hit every park in Lake County. It was fun to  see all the different parks that were around us that we had never been to. Tip: Make a check list or if you have kids you can get creative and do a park passport for every park you visit.
  3.  Check out the different activities that the parks near you offer. Sometimes the guided tours can take you to places that you couldn’t normally go. You can find out all the programs on the park websites.
